POM Wonderful……

Is that wonderful juice you can find  in the produce section of the store. It is in an hourglass type bottle and packs and incredible PUNCH of antioxidents and healtly good for you things and costs about $5.00. But the pomegranate fruit is left behind because people don’t know the trick….the one I know & got my husband up to demo this action shot coming up for all of you. My Grandmother had these at Thanksgiving every year and my sister Polly & I used to pull out the seeds and eat them and cover out selves in what would turn to dark pink stains on our fingers and faces. But now I hold in my typing fingers the secret you have been so desperately waiting for so!    get out your pens and note pads so you do miss a single instruction!

With out further adue………take your perfect pomegranate  hold it sideways in a cutting board (it could stain so I suggest an apron & cutting board you are willing to look at a stain on for a while, it won’t be there forever and cut the pomegranate in half with the top on one side and the bottom on the other this is step 1 of the great pom secret.  2 you take one of the halves and hold it cut side down over a large bowl. This was part 2 of the great Pop secret .  Number 3 is you hit the back of the fruit right on the skin, give it a good ol wack and the seeds fly out and into the bowl for you to juice, eat or enjoy. I am making Pomegranate Vinaigrette!! That is the final instruction in the Pom secret. This message will self destruct……………………………………..JUST KIDDING

Gimme some sugar….. or salt

Good Morning!
Have you ever been in the shower and as you go to wash your face you realize you are out of your favorite scrub? You knew it was pretty much gone the last time but didn’t do anything…..Well that was me this morning.

Prior to Blogging I was a Spa Director for many years so I worked A LOT with skin care companies and skin care products.
I learned quite a bit and I have a great trick for you!!
If you have mature skin, dry skin or normal skin, use a teaspoon of sugar, just plain ol
sugar that you put in your coffee. Raw sugar will be to course and way to rough for your
face but perfect for your body. ( hint hint )
pump in your everyday facial wash and you have the perfect scrub. use gentle circular motions
avoiding your eye area and you will have super soft skin free of the old skin cells making you
look drab and gray (winter has a way of drawing out the drab).
If you have oily skin use salt, again nothing to course your facial skin in delicate!! Salt pulls out impurities
and excess oils. WATCH OUT FOR YOUR EYES especially with the salt OUCH!!

If you want to make a little batch you can do it really easily…. I took the container my scrub was in, washed it out well and just made a small
batch and put it in. The best measurement would be 2 to 1 ratio. 2 parts facial cleanser to 1 part sugar or salt.  Thats it! -T
